BIO.

David L. Stewart is an interdisciplinary artist working across  Electronic Music, as well as Visual Media. His works are not simply heard or seen — they are entered. As founder of the electronic label Turn, his practice does not follow trends. 

Originally from the Chicagoland area and currently based in Frankfurt am Main, his work explores the relationship between technological systems, perception, and spatial experience. Through electronic sound and imagery, he constructs immersive environments that examine the boundaries between human cognition and machine logic.

Stewart’s performances, art work, and installations treat sound as architectural material, using hardware, software, and live processing to create evolving structures shaped by repetition, interference, and transformation. Working under multiple project identities, including Bytes Touch Us and Am Transistor, he approaches each as a modular extension of a broader conceptual framework in which his practice explores sound as signal — where frequency becomes patterns of architecture and performance becomes transmission.
